VOA on Screen-Report
by Pham Ngoc Thach - Monday, 6 June 2011, 11:38 AM

In an effort to assist its students to study interpreting better, the Centre has been uploading on the website a number of video clips of the VOA Special English. Followings are some suggestions on how to use the clips.

1. Download the video clip on your computer for repeated use, or play it directly online.

1. Use the file as a supplementary source for interpretation practice. Please listen to the video clip once to get an idea of what it is about. Then listen to it again, part by part (not sentence by sentence) and speak out or write down your interpretation

2. Replay the video clip and speak/read along with the speaker on the screen.

Hopefully by practicing with the video clip, you will be able to improve your listening comprehension, interpretation as well as speaking skills.
